Citadel: Honey Bunny
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
CITADEL: HONEY BUNNY goes back in time to explore the origins of Nadia's parents, and their love story across two eras. The first is set in the 1990's, when Honey (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) is a struggling actress in India. With no way to pay the bills, Honey is ready to give up when friend Bunny (Varun Dhawan), a successful stuntman, convinces her to help him with one of his "side hustles." The second era is the 2000's, where Honey is raising young Nadia on her own while co-managing a café, and Bunny is in a band in Bucharest. But after dropping Nadia off to school one day, Honey is kidnapped, and Bunny receives an anonymous message.
Is It Any Good?
This series is full of fast-paced fighting and flashbacks. Citadel: Honey Bunny is a solid prequel for the Citadel series. The narrative jumping between two eras can be a little disorienting at times, but the action sequences are enough to keep viewers engaged. The swearing, violence, and sexual themes make this suitable for older teens.
