What's the Story?
Hosted by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, CREATE TOGETHER #WITH ME is a YouTube series about the ways people are being creative and building community via the Internet during times of uncertainty. The series, motivated by the quarantines resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, shows how the writing, movies, photography, music, and other art forms people are posting on Gordon-Levitt's HitRECord project website are inspiring collaborations with people all over the world. From combining multiple voice overs of an original poem into a movie soundtrack, to recording songs and music videos incorporating interviews and instrumentals by musicians around the world, it offers examples of the different ways people are turning to creativity to cope with difficult situations, and reaching out positively to others to share in the experience.
Is It Any Good?
This positive series shows how artists from all skill levels and walks of life are creating, combining, and sharing art projects to cope with with the global COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to Joseph Gordon-Levitt showcasing some of the projects that he's collaborated on, brief interviews with some of the many artists who contributed to the multimedia project are shown. But while Create Together #With Me exhibits fun, interesting, and unique completed works, its real purpose is to highlight how people are turning to art as a constructive way of coping with an unpredictable world. It also underscores how digital technology gives us the power reach out, share, and inspire others at a time when we most need it.

Families can talk about the different kinds art featured on Create Together #With Me. What makes each creator unique? What do you like (or don't like) about their work? Are you inspired to collaborate with any of them?
It what ways can we use digital media and technology to help us learn or be more creative? How can this technology enhance traditional arts, like painting, singing, or dancing? Is it necessary to have a lot, or expensive, technology to create or benefit from it?
