What's the Story?

Based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, CREATURE is a Turkish story that follows Ziya, an aspiring medical student. It soon becomes his quest to find The Book of Resurrection, which he hopes to use to bring back the dead mother of his love/ adopted sister.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:

The fusion of historical context and supernatural elements into this ghoulish tale set against the cholera epidemic of the early 1800s makes for an engaging premise. But Creature's main character, Ziya, comes across as self-centered and unlikable, and his disturbing relationship with his adopted sister adds an unsettling layer to the narrative. While the show effectively crafts an eerie atmosphere befitting a Frankenstein-inspired tale, its consistent reliance on violence and gore risks desensitizing viewers over time, potentially diminishing the intended impact of its most chilling moments.
