What parents need to know

Parents need to know that DanTDM Creates a Big Scene is an original YouTube scripted series that serves as an extension of the host's popular YouTube channel and live tour. It's family-friendly, and friendship is a strong theme, but there are bits of edgy humor that may go over young kids' heads. There's also some video game-themed fantasy violence and mild rivalries, but nothing to really worry about.

What's the story?

DANTDM CREATES A BIG SCENE is an original YouTube scripted series that combines live action and video animation. It stars British professional gamer and famous YouTuber Dan Middleton, aka DanTDM, the creator of the Diamond Minecart channel, behind the scenes of his live stage show. When Dan decides to reboot the show to make it more exciting, he works with his animated cast of characters, including scientist Dr. Trayaurus, the clever Mr. Pig, and pugs Ellie and Darcie, to make it happen. Also joining the gang is DanTDM's animated evil twin, Evil Dan, and actress Danielle Tabor, best known for her role as Angelina Johnson in the Harry Potter film series. Together they work together to make sure they can put on a great show and make sure that fans have a great time.

Is it any good?

This creative, family-friendly show offers fans of DanTDM a chance to watch him interact with the entire cast of characters he created for his YouTube videos. It also gives folks a chance to see bits of his live show, throughout which animated characters appear as sentient beings, and video games are played.

It's geared toward tweens and Minecraft superfans, but adults may chuckle at some of the quick-witted humor. Chances are that the over 14 million subscribers to his channel will be drawn to it automatically, but no doubt DanTDM Creates a Big Scene will attract some new fans.
