What's the Story?

After a horrific loss, lawyer Matt Murdock is left rudderless. His friends grieve in different ways: Karen has moved to San Francisco, and Matt has given up the Daredevil mantle for good (or so he thinks). But when Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, reappears and declares his candidacy for mayor of New York, running on an anti-vigilante campaign, an old threat emerges. Has he gone straight, or does Fisk have something devious up his sleeve?

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 4 ):
Kids say ( 4 ):

This gripping series is a worthy sequel to the beloved original, thanks to continued great performances by Cox and D'Onofrio. Daredevil: Born Again gives Murdock plenty of fresh new conflicts to face in a still troubled New York City. It's dark, but not dour, and Cox charms once again as one of Marvel's warmest and most accessible heroes.

There are also some fun twists, like Matt's girlfriend Dr. Glenn ending up as couples' therapist to the dysfunctional Fisks. Fisk also remains a layered baddie, and the scenes between him and Murdock can be electric.

  • Murdock stands up to evil whenever he gets the chance. Why is courage an important character strength?
