What's the Story?

DEMASCUS Haynes (Okieriete Onaodowan) doesn't know who he is. But it seems like everyone's got him figured out, from co-workers at his ad agency job to his best (and only) friend (Caleb Eberhardt). His therapist (Janet Hubert) suggests Digital Immersive Reality Therapy (D.I.R.T.), which lets users explore alternate realities of their lives. He cannot change the past or interact with anyone, only observe. But when side effects of the tech start blending into Demascus' reality, he can't tell what's fact or fiction. Will Demascus lose himself before he can find out who he truly is?

Is It Any Good?

Our review:

Kids say : Not yet rated

This series blends cerebral sci-fi elements with chaotic comedy. Demascus is refreshing, unique, and vulnerable. Though tech is a major feature in this universe, it doesn't overshadow the narrative or the characters. It's topical, while still balancing comedy and satire. Onaodowan portrays the complicated and introspective Demascus very well. The language, drug use, sexual content, and violence make this suitable for older teens.
