Dexter: Resurrection
What's the Story?
DEXTER: RESURRECTION picks up right when Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) is shot in the chest by his son Harrison (Jack Alcott). Miraculously he survives, and after waking up from a 10-week coma, he has time to reflect on his severed relationship with Harrison while in rehab. That time is cut short when people from Dexter's past start connecting him to the Bay Harbor Butcher, and there's news of a dismembered body in New York City. Knowing that it's Harrison, Dexter heads off to keep his son from going down the same path as him. Meanwhile, other watchful eyes (Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage) have a keen interest in Dexter's bloody resume.
Is It Any Good?
What truly lies at the end of a serial killer's life? This series is the third attempt to explore the cluttered nuances of a killer's relationships and psyche. Dexter: Resurrection might be a little redundant and convoluted for fans of the franchise, but many will find Jack Alcott's performance worth watching this revival. The blood, gore, and cursing only makes this suitable for older teens.
