What's the Story?

Digman! tells the story of Rip Digman (Andy Samberg), once the most famous archaeologist in the world. In 2011 he was betrayed by his assistant and lost the love of his life. Twelve years later, he's given a shot at redemption by an eager student, which catapults him right back into a life of globe-trotting adventure.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 1 ):
Kids say ( 2 ):

Andy Samberg voices the title role with a classic Nic Cage impersonation, but finds so much nuance and pliability in it that it never gets grating. Likewise, the creative team behind Digman! makes a lot of choices that would typically lead to one-note, redundant humor, but somehow end up subtler than expected, and even charming. Early on, the series feels frontloaded with shock humor, only to reveal a more thoughtful, unique approach to comedy as it rolls on. The ensemble of voice actors is incredibly strong, and between that and Samberg's track record, there's plenty of reason to believe the show might get even tighter and funnier.
