What's the Story?

DISH IT OUT is a cooking show hosted by Matilda "Tilly" Ramsay—daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay—who says she's on her way to culinary school. Before that happens, she wants to use the show to explore her interest in food from various cultures. Each episode features a dish made with a celebrity guest, a viral food trend from social media, and a dish Tilly makes for the first time on-air using a box of ingredients and a brief video from the person who submitted it.

Featuring her dad in the debut episode was a smart way to acknowledge the leg up she got in the culinary world, and Ramsay's interest in cooking feels natural and genuine. It's also pretty funny that the Dish It Out host cheekily references her own "nepo baby" status by inviting other celebrity spawn to cook alongside her. Guests include Idris Elba's daughter, Isan, and Sylvester Stallone's daughter, Sistine.

Though her kitchen expertise is limited compared to her daddy dearest, Ramsay's enthusiasm is apparent. Many of the techniques and dishes are things she's trying for the very first time, making the recipes feel less daunting for a beginner cook. Dish It Out won't blow your mind with overly complicated dishes, but this may fit the bill or newbie cooks who want a cozy comfort-food show.
