What's the Story?

THE FAMILY STALLONE is an unscripted reality series featuring actor Sylvester Stallone and his family. Home from a long movie shoot, Stallone is excited to be back in California with his wife Jennifer Flavin, and his adult daughters Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet. He loves being home with his family and catching up with friends, but his kids make sure that there's never a dull moment.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:

This lighthearted series shows a charming and lovable Stallone as charming as he spends time living life with his family and friends. Conversations about how much he loves wife Jennifer Flavin and their daughters, which are sometimes accompanied by family photos and videos of his wife and kids, are juxtaposed with clips from movies like Rocky, Rambo and others action movies featuring the actor's iconic on-screen personas as a way of infusing the series with nostalgia and humor, especially when his daughters prank him, and when buddies like Al Pacino make appearances.

But The Family Stallone is produced and heavily-edited to create a young, energetic, and positive vibe, despite the family patriarch being in his late 70s. Meanwhile, it completely stays away from any actual family drama, like the well-publicized marital problems between Stallone and Flavin. If you're just looking for a breezy, unscripted series to watch for no reason other than to be mildly diverted, this one will work.
