What's the Story?

DISNEY FAMILY SUNDAYS brings families into a craft studio where host Amber Kemp-Gerstel's helps them complete creative projects inspired by Disney movies like Frozen 2, Up, and Dumbo. Working together, the parents and kids cut, sew, glue, and embellish DIY creations with personal touches and ties to some of their favorite Disney works. Each episode concludes with a recap of the project instructions for viewers to replicate at home.

These projects range from fairly simple endeavors like melt-and-mold glycerin soap to more involved ones that require operating sewing machines, using laminators, and other more advanced skill sets. The directions are clear, and watching the families complete the crafts is an ample tutorial for viewers who want to copy the process, but because of the specialized supplies some of the projects need, parents might want to preselect the episodes they watch with their kids.

Disney Family Sundays is thoroughly emblazoned with the Disney image, but it's done in a way that doesn't offend so much as it combines favorite films and characters with engaging family-friendly activities. Crafty and creative families can find inspiration for new projects here and can pair them with movie night plans for even more fun together.
