What's the story?

Set in the quaint seaside town of Cozy Cove, ELIAS: RESCUE TEAM ADVENTURES follows a friendly rescue boat named Elias and his pals Heleanor and Dippy as they patrol their home and keep their neighbors safe. Whether trouble strikes on land or in the water, this well-rounded group is prepared for anything, driven by compassion and guided by teamwork to ensure safety in their community.

Is it any good?

Preschoolers will love the adventures of spunky Elias and his friends. He's a real go-getter, ever eager to pitch in and help where he can, yet humble enough to recognize his limits and to call for assistance when he needs it. With his expertise on the water, Heleanor's air patrol, and Dippy's skills underwater, the Cozy Cove residents are in good hands with this rescue team.

This engaging series has great messages for kids about safety, and the characters' experiences illustrate the value of being part of a community where each member has an important job to do. As kids see these friendly folks interact, they also learn the importance of giving and receiving help, dealing with disappointment, and respecting differences.

Talk to your kids about ...

  • Families can talk about safety. Which safety precautions do you take in your home? In the car? When you're in a public place? Why is it important to follow the rules your parents establish with regard to your safety?

  • When things go wrong for these characters, how do they react? Would your kids feel the same way? What other shows have they seen that model characters resolving problems?

  • Kids: Does Cozy Cove bear any resemblance to your community? Who helps ensure residents' safety where you live? How can regular people be heroes too?
