What's the Story?

FIRE FORCE follows the story of Shinra Kusakabe (voiced in English by Derick Snow), a young firefighter with superhuman powers and abilities. After losing his family as a child in a "infernal" incident Shinra dedicates himself to becoming a hero that can save humanity from the "infernals." As a recruit of the Special Fire Force Company Shinra fights to extinguish the threat of the supernatural infernal terrors that have been plaguing humanity.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 5 ):
Kids say ( 3 ):

This fantasy anime has a unique setting, great animation, and fun battles that deliver a satisfying experience. Fire Force is a traditional Shonen (aimed at boys) anime that has all the familiar tropes and story beats that you might expect from the genre. The more unique elements are the series setting and lore that create a feeling of sinister mystery. The art, animation, and combat choreography are fantastic. This anime is at its best during its action sequences. There are some flaws though: The humor is sexual, the reoccurring gags fall flat, and the pacing is awkward at times. But overall, it's a solid anime in the fantasy action genre that's worth a watch.
