Furies
What's the Story?
FURIES follows the dangers of the mafia underworld, a life that Lyna (Lina El Arabi) was born into. Though she loves her family, she tries to keep her personal life separated from it as much as possible. But when celebrating her birthday, her father is murdered and her mother is severely injured. After serving time in prison, Lyna is out for vengeance. Using what her mobster-child upbringing taught her, Lyna follows a thread that leads her to "The Fury" (Marina Foïs), the leader of this underworld. But this meeting unravels the beginning of a plan more sinister and complex than Lyna imagined.
Is It Any Good?
This series is bustling with bloodshed. Furies is fast-paced, fun, and action-packed. The story is full of twists, turns, and fight scenes that will get viewers' adrenaline pumping. The violence, language, and sexual content make this suitable for older teens.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about Lyna's quest for revenge in Furies. Is how she's going about it understandable? Is revenge ever an acceptable excuse for violence?
Does this show glamorize violence? Does it serve the story, or does it go too far?
