What's the Story?
A violent killing rocks the friendship of two couples. Soon all of their hidden secrets and lies begin to unravel.
Is It Any Good?
Amateurish writing and acting come together to produce a glossy, soap opera-like drama. Characters in impeccable makeup and tight outfits regularly exchanging heavy-handed glances are only the beginning on Hard Broken. The show's abrupt scene transitions and the use of repetitive flashbacks and frozen action scenes further disrupt the viewing experience. More than just campy drama, the series often veers into unintentional comedy, as exemplified by the nanny's seemingly ill-timed attempt at seduction on the eve of a tragic event. There's just nothing redeeming to stick around for here; skip it and move on.

Families can talk about the tone of Hard Broken. Does it feel realistic? Why or why not?
Talk about the depictions of characters using drugs, getting drunk, smoking, and vaping. What consequences do they suffer? Is this realistic?
When teens see something sexual in the media, adults can use it as a way to talk about healthy and responsible sexual behavior. For example, consider (at least occasionally) pointing out instances when characters don't discuss contraception/consent/safe sex and approving when they do.
