What's the Story?

Ilya (Connor Storie) and Shane (Hudson Williams) are promising hockey players whose HEATED RIVALRY uses their friction on the ice to spark a steamy secret romance. They move through many years of sporadic sexual encounters, but they always have texting under fictional female names, sexting, and trash-talking each other to media and teammates. Will these two be able to take their affection public?

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 8 ):
Kids say ( 10 ):

This lusty Canadian show is surprisingly complex and nuanced about a romance between two star hockey players. Though the Game Changers books are marketed as "cute, romantic smut," Heated Rivalry leans more into the drama of living in the closet and living up to the pressures of pro sports stardom. That said, this show is cute and romantic, and the smut is very smutty indeed. Fans hoping to see some hockey puck action should look elsewhere—those scenes are brief and generic.
