What's the Story?
HENRY HUGGLEMONSTER is the story of a mischievous 5-year-old monster named Henry (voiced by Lara Jill Miller) who loves adventures, discoveries, and being with his family. Each day brings new opportunities for Henry to explore his feelings (which he readily shares with viewers) and learn important life lessons about working with others, showing kindness, and getting along with siblings. At the end of the day, Henry finds love and support from his parents, Daddo (Tom Kenny) and Momma (Lori Alan); and his brothers and sisters, Cobby (Chiara Zanni), Summer (Hynden Walch), and Ivor (Kari Wahlgren).
Is It Any Good?
Henry Hugglemonster offers preschoolers a delightful hero who's always up for adventures and never misses a chance to learn something new. As a middle kid in his family, Henry always has feelings to share with his viewers, and his interactions with his parents, siblings, and friends model positive communication and relationships for tots.
Based on an award-winning children's book called I'm a Happy Hugglewug by Irish author Niamh Sharkey, Henry's stories will resonate with the preschool set because they're seen through his eyes. The appealing characters are surpassed only by creative animation that brings to life Henry's monster-filled world and all the unique personalities within it, so there's a lot to like about this energetic, well-rounded preschool series.
