What's the Story?
In IS IT CAKE? HALLOWEEN, hosted by SNL's Mikey Day, skilled bakers compete to create hyper-realistic cakes disguised as spooky objects. After crafting their creations over eight hours, the bakers hide their cakes among decoys, and a panel of celebrity judges must determine which is the real cake. The baker who successfully fools the judges wins their own chance to find a cake amongst real objects for money and advances to the finale.
Is It Any Good?
This is a playful, festive, and visually engaging seasonal show. The spooky theme adds a layer of charm to Is it Cake? Halloween, and watching incredibly realistic cakes get sliced open is oddly satisfying. It's fun for viewers to guess along at home, although the camera work and fast pacing can make it difficult to judge before the reveal. While the structure can feel repetitive over time, the joyful energy of the contestants and outrageous Halloween props keep things lively.
