What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Little Big Shots: Forever Young is another family-friendly talent showcase -- this time featuring senior citizen performers -- from the team behind Little Big Shots. The fact that it's not a competition makes it a relaxing watch, and there are always lots of laughs in the participants' conversations with host Steve Harvey. These seniors will amaze you with their abilities in everything from music to death-defying stunts, but it's often their sage wisdom and unique perspective on life that inspires even more. This series is a real gem for multigenerational viewing with your family, even if its occasional language ("hell," mostly) and very mild innuendo make it better suited for a slightly older audience than the kid version. Need another reason to like it? These amazing seniors are great reminders about not judging people by their appearance.

What's the Story?
LITTLE BIG SHOTS: FOREVER YOUNG is a talent exhibition and variety show featuring senior citizens and their hidden talents. As on its parent series, Little Big Shots, prolific TV host Steve Harvey interacts with the performers to learn about them and revel in their unique wisdom. Then they take the stage to entertain with acts of all kinds, from opera singing to death-defying stunts.
Is It Any Good?
These utterly delightful performers are equally endearing on the interview couch as they are on the stage. It's always inspirational to see people step out of their comfort zones and try something new, whether it's sharing a hidden talent or taking a lifelong hobby to a bigger stage. Some of the seniors are established professionals in their fields (though still impressive because of their age), but others are true amateurs trying their hand at something entirely new. These performers' advanced ages only make what they do more impressive and what they have to say about life, love, faith, and fulfillment more memorable.
Little Big Shots: Forever Young is excellent family entertainment, especially since the acts are just for fun and not for competition. Some performances are more impressive than others, and some participants more suited to a big stage than their peers, but all of them have fantastic messages about following your heart, cultivating your passion, and being comfortable with yourself.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about what inspires these performers and whether they inspire you. Is it difficult for any of the performers on Little Big Shots: Forever Young to put on a show to such a big audience? If so, why do you think they do it? Are you intimidated by the idea? How do you cope with a situation that makes you nervous?
What are some of your hidden (or not-so-hidden) talents? What can we learn from developing our interests? How do you react when reality doesn't match up with what you imagine your abilities to be?
How do these performers demonstrate perseverance? What obstacles have they had to overcome to get where they are now? Why is this an important character strength?
