Some significantly more mature content

While there is the indication that this is for mature teens, there was no mention in "What Parents Need to Know" of a scenes in which teens are watching porn (thankfully no visuals, but sound was on) or learning how to perform oral sex. While some 15-yo may have had exposure to both, many don't. As a parent, that content was way more concerning than the naked butt and had I known, we would have waited a year.

Good for any mature person

This show was super good!! However, the book was better though I guess the book is usually better especially when it comes to John Green! This show does include a lot of swearing, and I mean a lot! Like, the movie Stand By Me based in the short story by Stephen King type of swearing! The kids smoke and drink and there are a couple of s3x scenes.

Very good tween-teen series

Theres not much a 10 year old can't handle, acting is great, theres a few kissing scenes but just basic stuff, I reccomend this for tweens, and teens, all the characters are good, and good storyline. reccomend :)

It's a little dark

It spreads a good message I guess, it's a little dark. There's drinking, alcohol, smoking, death, suicide and some sexual stuff. It is quite a good book but maybe no under 14

Looking For Alaska

I think that it is a good show all and all, but I think that there is definitely a lot of smoking, drinking, and swearing. I hate to say it because it takes away from the over all story too but I think that the sex is unnecessary. Even though I put 16 and up I think it could be younger if you know what to expect.

Amazing TV Series Best Left For Older Teens

I just finished watching the series after reading the book many years ago. The TV series fully lives up to the book. The characters are amazing and the cast really did do justice to the traits of the characters. I think this show is best left for older and mature teens as it deals with drinking, sex, racism, foul language and the possibility of suicide. If your child really wants to watch it I would recommend watching it with them or watching it before them. It has many positive messages such as dealing with death and finding yourself.

It was really GROSS

It was gross and I don’t bother with shows and movie that have to add s3x scenes. Don’t bother with this movie.
