Love Is Blind: Argentina
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
LOVE IS BLIND: ARGENTINA, a South American installment of the Love Is Blind franchise, features men and women hoping to find their soul mates. The show is hosted by model Wanda Nara and actor Darío Barassi; in it 16 men and 16 women spend 10 days in gender-specific residences, where they have the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with members of the opposite sex in pods in which they're separated by a screen. After two weeks are up, those who feel they've made a life-long love connection meet face-to-face, get engaged, and then go away on a romantic trip. If they decide to continue the relationship, they have the opportunity to spend time living their daily lives as a couple, during which time they meet each other's families and friends, deal with social media, and figure out if they're really meant to be together. Couples who remain together until the end have a wedding, during which time they can tie the knot or walk away.
Is It Any Good?
With the exception of the hosts not being married, the unscripted dating series follows the formula that one comes to expect from this franchise. In Love Is Blind: Argentina men and women talk, flirt, and argue through the screens, and outside of the pods they politely compete with other cast members for specific individuals to date. Once the couples meet, the drama is more heightened as they become more enchanted or more disillusioned with each other. If you're looking for something fresh and new within the franchise, you won't find it here. But if you enjoy what it has to offer, you'll find Love Is Blind: Argentina as entertaining as the rest.
