What's the Story?

MEGAMIND RULES! follows the misadventures of Megamind as the former supervillain takes on a new mission: being a superhero. While he defends Metro City from a multitude of villains alongside friends Chum, Roxanne, and Keiko, he must also juggle the pressures of modern life, including becoming an influencer.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 2 ):
Kids say ( 3 ):

While perfectly fine for new audiences, this series may fall short of satisfying fans anticipating the same wit and humor of the first movie. As a spin-off, Megamind Rules! introduces a fresh take on the original plot, new voice actors, a younger tone, and a slightly different animation style. Less of a family experience than the original movie, it caters to a younger audience, making it an enjoyable watch for elementary school kids looking for funny, lighthearted action.

Talk to Your Kids About ...

  • Families can talk about Megamind's change from a villain to a hero in Megamind Rules! What do you think about giving people a second chance? What are some ways you can help someone change their behavior?

  • Sometimes, Megamind has negative interactions, like mocking and even lightly slapping another character. Does this help him win them over? Can you think of better and kinder ways to solve a disagreement?

  • Many times in the series, Megamind gets made fun of for not being "in" on the latest trends, relating it to being old. Do you think age defines our abilities? Think about moments when you enjoyed learning and sharing new things with others.
