Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
MEN IN KILTS: A ROAD TRIP WITH SAM AND GRAHAM stars Outlander's Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish as they drive around Scotland in a van. From learning more about Scotland's traditional sporting events to trying some of its best foods, the two Scotsmen travel around the nation, enjoying everything it has to offer.
Is It Any Good?
Fun and lighthearted, the reality series features the two Scottish actors traveling to different locations throughout and beyond Caledonia to meet with historians, chefs, athletes, and other experts who offer details about local history and folklore. They also participate in local activities and events, ranging from cutting peat from a bog to make whiskey, to dancing at a pagan celebration.
The events are obviously preplanned, but the professional chemistry between the actors keeps the unscripted banter amusing. They also keep things humorous during drive time. The infusion of Outlander scenes and other popular references makes the narrative particularly appealing. Men in Kilts is entertaining, but it also reveals the beauty of Scotland, and may inspire you to visit.

How different are Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish's personalities on Men in Kilts differ from the characters they play in Outlander? Is this surprising?
There are tons of road trip movies and shows out there. What is it about road trips that makes for such compelling entertainment?
