Mia & Codie
What's the Story?
In MIA & CODIE, Mia (voiced by Kiara Pariag) is an almost eight-year-old girl who lives in a somewhat futuristic urban environment. She's got a little "bro-bot" named Codie (Mason Dean Mcloughlin) who looks to her for help when getting up to fun activities. Mia provides Codie with "coding blocks" to help him stay on task. They also get up to adventures with their pals Velvet and Evu.
Is It Any Good?
Kids will be inspired by bright, young Mia, who has created her own little brother in the form of a robot. Characters in Mia & Codie are motivated to create coding sequences that will help Codie, a sweet little bot, play games and solve problems. Educational themes pop into the short segments. There are some fun antics with humans as well as machines, but the series is generally focused on early coding skills.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about curiosity in Mia & Codie. How does Mia follow her reasoning to discover new possibilities? Where does curiosity lead you?
Mia and her friends use teamwork to solve problems. What happens if a member of the team is creating the problems?
Remembering the sequences to coding requires concentration and self-control. Do you have tricks that help you concentrate?
