What's the Story?

The events of MISSING YOU begin to unfold when Detective Kat Donovan (Slow Horses' Rosalind Eleazar) finds her ex-fiancé, Josh, on a dating app after he's been missing for 10 years. Josh's reemergence just happens to coincide with Kat's last opportunity to interrogate the man who murdered her father, and she begins to realize the two events may be connected.

Harlan Coben adaptations have become a bit of an institution, offering low-investment mysteries with a rotating cast of pedigreed British actors. Missing You serves up a similarly intriguing premise with an exciting cast (led by Slow Horses' Rosalind Eleazar). But the creators have gotten sloppier after so many miniseries. Here, the plot holes, loose ends, coincidences, and clichés threaten to derail what should be easy coasting comfort TV.
