What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Mud, Sweat, and Beards is an upbeat reality series featuring two friends and survivalists spending time outdoors in remote locations around the country. It contains some strong language and bleeped curses, as well as some innuendo that's more humorous than sexual. Nudity is blurred (and also meant to be funny). The hunting and preparation of fish and small game for food is visible. It contains strong messages about respecting the wild, as well as the importance of knowing what you're doing when you're out there.

Fun survival show for working together rather than trying to outdo one another.

What's the Story?
MUD, SWEAT, AND BEARDS features two best friends traveling to remote locations to sharpen their survival expertise. Donny Dust and Ray Livingston, both of whom appeared on the survivalist reality series Alone, travel to extreme locations to see how well they fare in each environment. From trying to catch fish in the mosquito-infested Alaskan bush, to making kayaks and hunting small rodents in the alligator-filled Louisiana Bayou, the two have lots of fun while dealing with whatever challenges nature throws at them.
Is It Any Good?
The entertaining series features the two heavily bearded outdoorsmen having a good time challenging themselves by living and surviving in beautiful, but challenging, natural habitats. As they build shelter, weapons, and other things from the resources available in each, and the few items they carry with them, they offer brief explanations about what they are doing. They also discuss how to solve problems when faced with challenges, especially when it comes to finding food. But there's lots of humor throughout, which makes this a lot less dramatic than other survivalist-themed reality TV and game shows. Nonetheless, Mud, Sweat, and Beards is a fun watch.
