What's the Story?

MUD, SWEAT, AND BEARDS features two best friends traveling to remote locations to sharpen their survival expertise. Donny Dust and Ray Livingston, both of whom appeared on the survivalist reality series Alone, travel to extreme locations to see how well they fare in each environment. From trying to catch fish in the mosquito-infested Alaskan bush, to making kayaks and hunting small rodents in the alligator-filled Louisiana Bayou, the two have lots of fun while dealing with whatever challenges nature throws at them.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 2 ):
Kids say ( 1 ):

The entertaining series features the two heavily bearded outdoorsmen having a good time challenging themselves by living and surviving in beautiful, but challenging, natural habitats. As they build shelter, weapons, and other things from the resources available in each, and the few items they carry with them, they offer brief explanations about what they are doing. They also discuss how to solve problems when faced with challenges, especially when it comes to finding food. But there's lots of humor throughout, which makes this a lot less dramatic than other survivalist-themed reality TV and game shows. Nonetheless, Mud, Sweat, and Beards is a fun watch.
