What's the Story?

In NATURE CAT'S NATURE MOVIE SPECIAL EXTRAORDINAIRE, Nature Cat and his animal friends know they're in a special movie episode, but at first they don't know what the movie is about! Eventually they figure out that the movie's storyline will be all about the "evil" Sir Galahad, who announces that he is now King Galahad and can do whatever he wants. All of the plants Nature Cat and crew want to learn about suddenly go missing. They learn that King Galahad has been using a magic wand to steal a raspberry bush, tree, giant rock, wildflowers, and moss to decorate his castle. The birds, bugs, and animals of the forest miss all their favorite foods and habitats. Nature Cat and gang sneak into the castle to get the nature back, and chaos ensues. Can Nature Cat, Squeeks, Daisy, and Hal defeat King Galahad and return the nature to where it belongs?

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 1 ):
Kids say ( 1 ):

Like other Nature Cat episodes, the Nature Movie Special Extraordinaire combines silliness with an appreciation for the natural world. Older kids (and grown-ups) will appreciate the meta structure of this special, where the characters make jokes about the fact that they're in a movie. All kids will enjoy the jokes and zany character dialogue. The overarching message of protecting nature is clear but doesn't come across as too preachy. Fans of the Nature Cat series will enjoy this fun special with Earth Day themes.
