No Good Deed
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In NO GOOD DEED, well-off couple Paul (Ray Romano) and Lydia (Lisa Kudrow) Morgan are selling their luxurious Spanish-style home in Los Angeles. They want to find the perfect buyer (and they need the money). The series follows three couples who are hoping to buy. Each has their own motivations: There's the devious Margo Starling (Linda Cardellini) and her washed-up soap actor husband (Luke Wilson); young trying-to-conceive couple Leslie (Abbi Jacobson) and Sarah (Poppy Liu); and successful novelist/architect pair Carla (Teyonna Paris) and Dennis (O-T Fagbenle). Who will make an offer, despite the house's history?
Is It Any Good?
This series is a fantastic blend of comedy and mystery, with a gaggle of outstanding big-name actors doing their best work. No Good Deed has pathos as well; Kudrow's performance is touching as a woman who has lost her child and is desperate to connect with him beyond the grave. Great writing gives the plot just the right amount of tension; No Good Deed is the definition of bingeable.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about communication in No Good Deed. How would better communication help some of the characters in the show?
Grief is an issue addressed in this series. How do the various characters deal with it?
The house for sale is very nice and the people considering buying it are very affluent. In general, do you think different economic groups are equally represented on television? Why, or why not?
