What's the Story?

NOCTURNE follows retired homicide detective Jonah Lynn (Liev Schreiber), isolated in the town of Fairhaven and taunted by the missing persons case he worked tirelessly three years prior. But when one of the missing children suddenly appears, the town look confusedly at Jurek Walter (Stephen Graham), a serial killer who has been institutionalized for years. The cold case grows warm again as there is one more missing child to be found, and Jonah begrudgingly teams up with the FBI and his stepdaughter, special agent Saga Bauer (Zazie Beetz.) Somehow, Walter is pulling strings from his cell. How far will Jonah go to prove this and find the missing girl before winter strikes?

Our review:
Parents say : Not yet rated
Kids say : Not yet rated

This series is sinister, intriguing, and anxiety-inducing. Nocturne combines a dark narrative with a dynamic cast. The performances are strong: Schreiber's is intense, Graham's is visceral, and Beetz' is hauntingly compelling. The violence and language make this suitable only for older viewers.
