What's the Story?

Executive produced by Jimmy Fallon, and hosted by Keke Palmer, PASSWORD is a revival of the classic 1961 word game that features celebrities pairing up with contestants to win cash. Each episode features two celebrity/player teams (one of which always features Fallon) trying to guess a secret word using one word clues. If a team guesses it in the first try, the password is worth 6 points. With every one word clue given, the point value of the password diminishes. The first team to make it to 15 points wins the game. After three games the contestant who has earned the most points goes on to play for $25K.

The latest reboot of this popular game show offers all the fun and energetic family entertainment that made the original word game famous. Some of the excitement comes from the efforts to win cash. However, the series also generates lots of laughs with the help of the featured celebrities' colorful personalities and comedic abilities. It's amusing, but this version of Password is as much about Jimmy Fallon as it is about the overall competition, and makes you feel like you're watching one of his installments of The Tonight Show. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a lighthearted competition series to tune into, you'll probably like this one.
