What's the Story?
PEOPLE LIKE ME follows Daren Vongirdner as he stumbles his way through the end of his 20s in New York City. After accidentally causing chaos at a job interview, Daren struggles to manage his spiking anxiety. While voicing his worries in virtual therapy sessions, Daren tries to navigate relationships, grief, self-doubt, and getting through life.
Is It Any Good?
This series has a flawed, vulnerable main character who copes with the pitfalls of life through humor. People Like Me is an earnest, unrefined, fresh perspective on mental health. Production might be on the novice side, but viewers will appreciate the awkward and relatable story. The language, advertising, and drug use make it suitable for teens.
