What's the Story?

PET STARS is a reality series about an animal talent agency and their efforts to land money-making clients. Colleen Wilson, the CEO of Pets on Q, along with her Chief Operating Officer and Melissa May Curtis, are always looking for the most talented and unique animals who have the looks and personalities to become the latest and greatest animal influencers on social media. From looking for the ugliest dogs, to finding Instagram-worthy reptiles, the two are committed to finding clients that have the potential to become major animal influences on social media.

This lighthearted reality series features the the staff of the Hollywood-based animal media company and booking platform searching for animals suited for lucrative Instagram campaigns. The pair travel to different animal-themed events, host auditions, and work with animals on photo shoots, all of which is intended to generate lots of profit when featured online.

There's some info about what makes an animal suitable for influencer work, and what specifically makes them marketable, which is an interesting angle to explore. But what Pet Stars really delivers on is showcasing different species of notable and quirky animals. Animal lovers will enjoy it, but even those who aren't may find this behind-the-scenes look at this unique industry intriguing.
