What's the Story?

Hosted by David Beckham, REAL MADRID: UNTIL THE END is a documentary series about the Real Madrid Football Club's 2021-22 season. After the exit of manager Zinedine "Zizou" Zidane at the end of the 2020-21 football (soccer) season, legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti, aka Don Carlo, was hired to manage the team. Ancelotti, who was returning six years after leaving the club, welcomed new players like Karim Benzema while continuing to work with veterans like Luca Modric and Toni Kroos to help them win its 14th Champions League title. Interviews with Ancelotti, Real Madrid players, sport journalists, and others help tell the behind-the-scenes stories of how swiftly and strongly the team came together to beat rivals like Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona while playing their way to the top.

The upbeat but predictable series offers football (soccer) fans the opportunity to see what led to Real Madrid's record-breaking 14th Champions League win. Real Madrid: Until the End highlights how Carlo Ancelotti strategically brought in younger players to play along side aging veterans as a way to strengthen the club and help them come together as a team. The challenges he faced to successfully do this are discussed, while individual players share personal insights about their careers, teammates, game plays, and the important role fans play throughout. There isn't much here for those who don't enjoy the sport, but for European football enthusiasts, it's an uplifting and energy-filled viewing experience.
