What's the Story?
Redefined: J.R. Smith catches up with an NBA player whose reputation often overshadowed his incredible accomplishments. After winning his second championship and retiring from professional basketball, Smith goes to college and attempts to join the campus golf club.
Is It Any Good?
J.R. Smith's fascinating career could have sustained a whole documentary series by itself. Unfortunately, Redefined: J.R. Smith only scratches the surface of the icon known more for his mistakes than his accomplishments. The series promises a look at the struggles Smith faced in his life and career, and how they can help him as he strives to recreate himself as a scholar and amateur golfer. Instead, it quickly veers away from Smith to focus on his college and his new golfer teammates, turning an easy layup into a rough miss.
