What's the Story?
In SAVING MY TOMORROW, a star-studded cast (Tina Fey, Liam Neeson, Neil DeGrasse Tyson) plays a supporting role to kids who are fighting for their children's futures. A fact-filled docu-series about the status of climate change, this series was originally released in 2014. Though the facts may have changed, the issues are still pertinent and alarming. Kids in this series sing, speak at rallies, show their vegetable gardens, march, write songs, and stand up for the planet that is suffering under the weight of human-generated impact.
Is It Any Good?
Moving, inspirational, and still timely, Saving My Tomorrow is an emotional plea from a younger generation to halt climate change before ecosystems collapse irreparably. Music and readings provide a variety-show vibe, which serves to inspire when the images of pollution become wearying.
Kids who are passionate about the planet will feel uplifted by kid activists who take change seriously. Adults will get a lot out of this series as well; it's a reminder that everyone has the ability -- and responsibility -- to make a difference for their children's-children's futures.
