Common Sense Media Review
Lots of sex, cursing in French comedy about midlife men.

Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
SHAFTED follows a longtime friend group in Paris—Tom (Manu Payet), Cédric (Guillaume Labbé), Tonio (Vincent Heneine), and Jérémie (Antoine Gouy). Each of the men is struggling with some recent rough patches, from a divorcé in denial to a control freak who quit his job. As they fall over their obstacles, the men stumble through their relationships with themselves, each other, and the women in their lives.
Is It Any Good?
This series barely fumbles its way through bland humor and gratuitous butt shots. Shafted falls flat with crude humor and attempts at being topical. Viewers should probably get their lowbrow humor and satire somewhere else. This is also definitely not for kids, with sexual content, strong language, and drug use.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about humor. Does the humor in Shafted meet the expectations of viewers in your culture? Are there elements of the series that might work best for French audiences?
Why do you think the title of this series has changed from Super Mâles to Shafted for English-speaking audiences?
