What's the Story?

In SHIPWRECK HUNTERS: AUSTRALIA, a team of seven divers venture into the ocean off the coast of Northwest Australia to explore and investigate shipwrecks. With the help of other shipwreck experts, like maritime archeologists, the team of life-long friends conducts research and plans expeditions that help them piece together the mysteries of what happened to the vessels. Along the way, their enthusiasm and curiosity unlock the answers to the questions they so passionately seek.

Disney+ brings new life to historic shipwrecks in this cool docuseries. History buffs, deep-sea enthusiasts, and fans of marine vessels will enjoy Shipwreck Hunters: Australia, with its close-up footage of shipwrecks and breathtaking images of the ocean and its inhabitants. Not only are the cast members likable for their friendship, fun-loving, and risk-taking; their passion for their work and their eager inquisitiveness are inspiring. Personal stories and interviews with people closely related to the history of the ship that sank make the story of the shipwreck more intimate. It may be easy for the average viewer to get lost in the history and jargon, but the mysteries of the shipwrecks and the lengths (or depths) to which the crew will go to uncover those mysteries are enough to keep anyone hooked.
