What's the Story?

SIGHT UNSEEN follows police detective Tess Avery (Dolly Lewis), who must adapt to sudden blindness caused by Leber's neuropathy. The series explores her adjustment to using a visual aid app called "My Eyes," which connects her with a sighted guide, Sunny Patel (Agam Darshi), who helps her navigate both her personal life and professional duties. This partnership becomes central to solving crimes and handling the detective's cases.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:

This series presents a novel twist on the standard police procedural with its focus on a visually impaired detective, but isn't interesting beyond that. The interaction between the main detective and her "My Eyes" assistant in Sight Unseen is compelling, offering a fresh dynamic to the crime-solving process. But the overall narrative sometimes lacks the intended dramatic impact, falling into the routine patterns of typical crime dramas without fully capitalizing on its unique premise.
