Silly Sundays
What's the Story?
Sonia, Mel, and their cousin Hugo love spending time together with their family on SILLY SUNDAYS. On the day that parents don't work and kids don't go to school, the family gets together to enjoy their best times, through ups and downs, in the simplest, most joyful ways.
Is It Any Good?
Simply put—yes, it's great. Silly Sundays excels at doing the basics really well: lovely characters, positive values, catchy tunes, and a certain nostalgia of simpler times spent together as a family—playing, imagining, and enjoying each others' company. It's a great example for young viewers and a helpful reminder to parents about the lessons we can learn and teach our children by simply being there with them.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about the relationships in Silly Sundays. Sonia, Mel, and Hugo are cousins, and they're always playing together. Are you close with your family? Who do you like to hang out with on a silly Sunday?
Mel is much younger than Sonia and Hugo, but they find ways for her to participate. Are you a younger sibling, or do you have one? How do you play together?
Each episode ends with a fun song about the episode's theme. Do you remember one of them? What's your favorite one?
