What's the Story?

In SNOOPY PRESENTS: LUCY'S SCHOOL, summer vacation is almost over, and Lucy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts crew begin to get nervous about the upcoming school year. After all, they are on to a new chapter after finishing elementary school. Lucy, unwilling to let anyone see that her nerves are getting the best of her, tells the group that if they can pass a test, they can get their diplomas and not have to go back to school. The group nominates Lucy to teach them everything that will be on the test so that they can have an endless summer. Lucy takes on the role of teacher -- a role harder than she ever expected. Will the kids be ready for the test? What lessons will they ultimately learn?

This relatable back-to-school special gives families lots to discuss as the new school year approaches. Snoopy Presents: Lucy's School justifies those end-of-summer feelings many have about going back to school. It even shows how those jitters may emerge in not-so-positive behaviors like lying or putting on a front. It tackles these things with grace and empathy, showing young viewers that they can show up for themselves and their friends in caring ways. The heartwarming tribute to teachers and the hard work and dedication they show daily is bound to get the school year started on the right track.
