Fun and spontaneity sacrificed.

Sunny Side Up was a great, fun and spontaneous show. Lots of learning opportunities, fun songs and wonderful characters. Sprout House seems afraid to be fun. It's so overly scripted and thus feel stiff. The Snug character is awful compared to Chica. Chica was fun, spontaneous and curious. Snug seems to whine a lot and ring his "I'm not getting my way" bell. The writing is also pretty horrific: Knock knock Who's there? It's me, Snug. That isn't funny in the slightest. They need to bring back Sunny Side Up and ditch Sprout House. It is a sub-par program.

Like its parent show, this energetic series acts as an interactive play date by featuring 90-second segments of preschool-oriented content throughout a morning programming block. As a result, it provides a consistent place and cast of characters that children can focus on between different shows. However, unlike Sunny Side Up, the segments are prerecorded, allowing for more creative content.

It's colorful and fun, and most preschoolers will find it hard not to get caught up in some of the fun. Whether it's using your imagination to play with a spoon in a variety of ways, or having conversations about how to cope with your feelings, Snug's House offers lots of opportunities for young children to think, learn, and participate.
