Snug's House
What's the Story?
SNUG'S HOUSE, an offshoot of the preschool morning series Sunny Side Up, stars Carly Ciarrocchi as Carly, a young woman who spends every morning in a cozy cottage in an urban rooftop garden with dog, Snug, and best friend, TJ (played by Donell Smith). Together they play games, do arts and crafts, sing, and dance. Musical guests like Tim and the Space Cadets join the fray, and they even get to check in on Chica, Sunny Side Up's favorite chicken, who is going to preschool.
Is It Any Good?
Like its parent show, this energetic series acts as an interactive play date by featuring 90-second segments of preschool-oriented content throughout a morning programming block. As a result, it provides a consistent place and cast of characters that children can focus on between different shows. However, unlike Sunny Side Up, the segments are prerecorded, allowing for more creative content.
It's colorful and fun, and most preschoolers will find it hard not to get caught up in some of the fun. Whether it's using your imagination to play with a spoon in a variety of ways, or having conversations about how to cope with your feelings, Snug's House offers lots of opportunities for young children to think, learn, and participate.
