What's the Story?

SOMEWHERE BOY follows Danny (Lewis Gribben), a teen who's been confined to his house most of his life by his father. Danny keeps himself company by the TV as his father sometimes leaves out for food. But when his father takes his own life, Danny is thrown into a new arrangement and new people he's never experienced before. Danny tries to get to know his aunt (Lisa McGrillis), her household (Samuel Bottomley, Johann Myers), and a world he's never been allowed to take part in. As the world his father built turns out to be not what it seems, Danny must assimilate into society while grappling with the "monsters" his father warned him about.

This series is an intriguing portrait of an emotionally fragile character trying to make sense of a volatile situation. Somewhere Boy is a dark, raw, and emotional narrative. Due to the strong language, scary imagery, and intense themes, it's recommended for older teens.
