What's the Story?
SUPERFAN is a game show in which five contestants battle through a series of contests to prove they're the biggest fan of a featured recording artist. Each episode stars a new musician who helps to pick the winner and provides a unique experience as the grand prize. The competition culminates in the top two contestants lip synching to one of the artist's biggest hits and home viewers voting for a winner via X, formerly known as Twitter.
Is It Any Good?
A game show with a unique dynamic, as fervent fans are brought into the spotlight unexpectedly creating a blend of enthusiastic engagement and awkward interactions. It's nice to see featured celebrities connect with fans and share gratitude on Superfan, but some fans' extreme behavior might not serve as the best example for young viewers. Unsurprisingly, the artists here once topped the charts but aren't doing so today, but it's still interesting to hear the background stories they share about some of their hits. It's also fun to see if they still have "it" during the live performance element at the end of the show. Spoiler: Some do not.
