Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In SURELY TOMORROW, Lee Gyeong-do (Park Seo-joon) is laboring over an article he's written for a daily newspaper. He remains past end of day and is still there when his colleagues arrive. He wavers over submitting the news that will contribute to the scandal that a woman from his past has incurred. Will he have the guts to throw fuel on the fire of her tumultuous life? Or will his compassion for her get the better of his journalistic integrity?
Is It Any Good?
Steady storytelling, charming actors, and a doomed relationship enrich a fairly standard romance. Surely Tomorrow embraces the flashback, allowing the quirky nature of college friendships to color the more somber career choices of two star-crossed lovers.
Families who want to settle in for a drawn-out romance can depend on this show to pay off. But, it's not recommended for young teens because of the drinking and salty language.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about compassion in Surely Tomorrow. Even though things didn't always go smoothly between the love interests in this show, they still act compassionately towards each other. How can you let petty discord go and see a person for their humanity? Characters put past complexity behind them to show each other compassion.
Curiosity is a trait that leads the main characters in this show to find their friend groups and carve a path in the world. How does your curiosity serve you?
When the young adults in this show drink heavily, they lose self-control. How does having self-control help people orient themselves toward finding their inner values?
