What's the Story?

Swimming with Sharks is the story of Lou Simms (Kiernan Shipka), who seems like any other new-in-town intern when she begins to work for powerful Hollywood mogul Joyce Holt (Diane Kruger). But Lou's got her eye on Joyce for mysterious reasons and is out to prove that she's more ambitious than even the most dedicated schemers in town.

This castoff from the infamous Quibi disaster of 2020 may not be a great show, but at least it's a short one. Swimming with Sharks is the very definition of a guilty pleasure, which is itself a phrase that practically exists just to describe the erotic thriller genre. Sharks' power play melodrama works because of how efficiently the series barrels through the plot development and twists.
