What's the Story?

THE BEGINNING AFTER THE END follows an extremely powerful king who's known for his ruthlessness. One day, he finds himself reborn in a new body. He's confused and frustrated to find that his new name is Arthur Leywin (voiced by Natsumi Fujiwara) and, even worse, he is an infant who has no control over his own body. But his loving parents, Alice (voiced by Rena Maeda) and Reynolds (voiced by Yamato Kinjou), protect, care for, and love him. Arthur learns that he can become a magic-wielding human, and that this life isn't so bad after all.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 2 ):
Kids say ( 1 ):

This anime is a mild and enjoyable watch. The Beginning After the End is typical in the isekai genre, but the characters are wholesome and likable. Viewers might find themselves wondering what evil things baby Arthur could get up to as he grows up, having kept his previous life's consciousness; it's a pleasant surprise to see his family's love soften him up. The fantasy element makes it fun to watch, and leaves room to see where the plot will go as Arthur grows older.
