What's the Story?
THE BONDSMAN follows bounty hunter Hub Halloran (Kevin Bacon) when he comes back to life after being murdered. The deal is, he must capture and kill demons who have escaped hell to return to earth. In return, he gets a second chance to repair his own life.
Is It Any Good?
Cheap thrills aren't necessarily a bad thing; that's what this show seems to be aiming for, with a nod to exploitation films of the 1970s and '90s. Kevin Bacon is back from the dead and he's kicking butt. The series sets up action scene after action scene and breaks them up with moments of Bacon's Hub Halloran trying to fix his own life (and play rock and roll in a honky-tonk bar). It has no intention of offering any more return than that.
