This show strikes an interesting balance between myths and realism. While The Brave Ones' main plot is centered around a mythical power, the characters experience truthful and relatable issues. The show does start off at a slow place, and requires viewers to pay close attention to how all the pieces of the story are connected, which can be difficult to follow. For teen viewers, it creates a lot of questions about the people's power, myths, and morals.
