The Chair Company
What's the Story?
THE CHAIR COMPANY introduces William Ronald Trosper (Tim Robinson), a newly promoted father of two who's in charge of the construction of a new mall. When he embarrasses himself in front of his peers and coworkers by falling through a chair, Trosper becomes obsessed with the company who made it.
Is It Any Good?
Tim Robinson excels at playing tightly wound everyman types who quickly become unraveled under pressure. The Chair Company features Robinson in one of many variations on this role. It's a character that works better in short sketches than at length (see also: Friendship), but the series supports Robinson with a deep ensemble and legitimately intriguing plot. The comedic bits don't always work, but Robinson is easy to root for and has occasional moments of absolute genius.
