The Charlie Puth Show
What's the Story?
THE CHARLIE PUTH SHOW follows musician Charlie Puth as he tries to stay topical in current trends. When Roku orders him to do a show to "stay in the cultural zeitgeist," Charlie finds himself in uncharted waters outside of music. Knowing his life is not interesting, his team pushes him out of his comfort zone and relies on celebrity collaborations to generate buzz around his name. Isn't it enough to just be a musician anymore?
Is It Any Good?
This series centers satire and self-awareness on an unlikely celebrity. The Charlie Puth Show is fast-paced, offbeat, and topical. Puth has fun with his guests and seems to also have fun making fun of himself. The personalities around him are caricatures of what success looks like, and it's interesting to watch Puth attempt to have (and make fun of) fame in the era of social media. Despite the product placements and the language, this show is suitable for most viewers.
